Brandts Køreskole -Herning

At Brandts Køreskole (Driving school) in Herning, it is possible to get lessons in English when you need to convert your driver's license to a Danish license, if you have lost your license or if you are a beginner with no experience and want a driver's license.

I can provide you with theory- and driving lessons, a theory book and tests online to practice on at home, all in English.
I will get you an interpreter for the tests.
I will order and book the test for you in English.


If you have a foreign license:
First you need to go to your doctor (bring at photo for the license) to get a health certificate. Then you go to your local Town Hall ( lokal kommune), and bring all the papers, your license (if it's not in English, you need a translation) and passport. You will then get a temporary license, typically for 3 months. Then you have to pass a theory test and a practical driver's test. If you dont pass one of the test, then you the police vill take your license. But when you have passed both test, you vill get your danish license.

You can begin whenever you want. I normally have English class every week.


If you don't have a license:
You need  (1) a theory course, (2) to practise driving-manoeuvers at the technical driving facility, (3) 16 driving lessons on the street, (4) a first-aid course and (5) a health certificate. Then you have to pass a theory test and a practical driver's test.
You have to be 18 years old (you can begin 3 months before your 18th birthday).

First-aid course are held at the driving school.

At the test you need to bring:
Application, lesson plan (beginners), passport,  yellow card and money for the  interpreter.

If you want to cancel a test, then I need to know it at least 4 working days  before. If you cancel later than that you will have to pay the police for the next test.
When you have driving lessons and want to move or cancel a lesson, let me know 1 day before. If you cancel later or don't show up, then you will have to pay for the lesson.
